Service Description
This skills course is for (men and women) intermediate mountain bike riders looking to increase their technical riding skill base. The course will be held over 4 x 2 hour sessions both on and off trails . The first session is on a flat grassy oval breaking down the base skills. Sessions 2-4 will be on the trails applying these skills. The skills reviewed on this course will include cornering, braking, berms, pumping, crossing an obstacle, wheel lifting, line selection and rock gardens. We have seen too many adult riders getting hurt and now its time to do something about it! In the case that the courses sells out (as it has the last few times) a wait list will activate. In the case that a registration then becomes available, wait list registrants will be advised and given first option in order of registration to accept. The session dates and times are below: Sunday 23/2/25 3-5pm Underwood Park Mtb Skills Park Sunday 2/3/25 3-5pm Daisy Hill Forest Sunday 9/3/25 3-5pm Daisy Hill Forest Sunday 16/3/25 3-5pm Ford Road Trail entry. Emails will be sent out in the lead up to each session with further details of where, including a map. FAQs What type of rider is this for? One that enjoys riding but has never understood the techniques of it. Can I attend on my e-bike? Yes! We are seeing more and more of these. Is there an age limit to enter the course? Yes, you must be a minimum of 18 years of age or attend with your parent who is also enrolled in the course. What do I bring to the event? You will need a trail worthy mountain bike, an Australian Standard compliant helmet, spare tube and tools (in the case of a flat) for changing on the trails - we can help here if you are not good at it. We would also recommend gloves, sunglasses for eye / dust protection, comfortable clothing, drink bottle or hydration back pack and a snack for on the trail. Do I need to have an AusCycling license for the event? No, this is not required for these sessions. What is your wet weather policy? We monitor the weather each week in the lead up to the sessions. If the session is rained out we will reschedule another date to hold the session. PLEASE NOTE: When registering, you just select the first session time which will register you for the full course
