She Rides - Starts 27 April 25
4 sessions. Women only. Focusing on fun, friendships and confidence in new locations.
Service Description
The SheRides - Mountain Bike Course is a perfect way to build confidence on your MTB through gaining skills and fitness under the safety and guidance experienced AusCycling coaches. The program caters to all levels of rider ability and fitness and starts all riders off on a flat grassy open area for "back to basics" skills learning for the early sessions. These are always allot of fun and a great way to get to know the fellow course participants. From here we move on to Forest trails suitable to the group. In these sessions we ride as a group so no one gets left behind and regularly regroup (ok, and so the occasional breather can be had!). We ride two forest locations so you can gain familiarity with a couple of locations to ride with your new buddies. The sessions are a great no pressure environment to learn a safer way with correct technique plus meet fellow riding ladies and learn new trail locations. The Session dates and times are below (all Sundays) 27th April 12:30 - 2:30pm Underwood Park Mtb Skills Park 4th May 12:30 - 2:30pm Daisy Hill Forest central 11th May 12-2pm Scribbly Gum - (Note earlier time) 18th May 12-2pm Daisy Hill Forest - (Note earlier time) Emails will be sent out in the lead up to each session with further details of where, including a map. If sold out a wait list will be available. In the case that a spot then becomes available, wait listers will be advised and given first option in order of registration to accept. Event numbers are limited so we encourage you to sign up early to avoid missing out. Do I need to have an AusCycling license for the event? No, this is not required for these sessions as we hold appropriate insurances. Is there an age limit to enter the course? Yes, you must be a minimum of 18 years of age to attend or with a parent that is also enrolled in the course. What do I bring to the event? You will need a trail worthy mountain bike, an Australian Standard compliant helmet, spare tube (in the case of a flat) - we can help here if you are not good at it. We would also recommend gloves, sunglasses for eye dust protection, comfortable clothing, drink bottle or camelbak and a snack for on the trail. What is your wet weather policy? We monitor the weather each week in the lead up to the sessions. If the session is rained out we will reschedule another date. PLEASE NOTE: When registering, you just select the first session date and time which will register you for the full course.
